Bring out the cheese (literally?)

First dinner party of the year, of which included my first recipe from this amazing farmer’s market cookbook I bought in Bend, Oregon (blueberry and blackberry cobbler, be jelly of this essperiment) as well as my first attempt at making pretzels in bite size form (Jessica couldn’t stop eating them when they came out of the oven, made my heart sing). In hindsight, there were a lot of firsts tonight, but that’s totally cool.

I love cooking for people. I absolutely adore it, to be completely honest, and I’ll miss opportunity to do it whenever I please when I’m living by myself 800 miles away. What the hell am I thinking, right?

A huge thank you to the following, for making my night: Sara and her “solid” boyfriend Paul, Jessica, Julie, Michelle, Derrick and his delicious ice cream addition (I had one after you left, haha), and Adam for sleeping on my bed most of the night. I’ma be making those raspberry beer cupcakes tomorrow :3
